Hand Crafting Authentic
Jamaican Black Castor Oil
Esnaturale's Traditional Manufacturing Process
Harvesting and Washing
Castor beans are harvested and thoroughly washed to remove any dirt or debris.
Drying
The cleaned castor beans are left to dry on zinc or tarpaulin..to reduce moisture content.
Roasting
The dried castor beans are roasted in a pot over a wood fire. The roasting duration determines the color and properties of the oil. For lighter gold oil, beans are roasted for a shorter period, while for dark brown oil, beans are roasted for longer periods.
Grinding
Roasted castor beans are ground in a Jamaican Mata,
Boiling
The ground paste is then placed in a pot and boiled over a wood fire
Skimming
s the paste boils, oil rises to the top, and it is skimmed off using a long spoon.
Clarification
The skimmed oil is transferred to another pot for clarification. This step helps remove excess water and impurities from the oil.
Cooling & Bottling
The clarified Jamaican black castor oil is allowed to cool before being bottled for you.
This meticulous process ensures the production of our authentic Jamaican black castor oil, prized for its purity and effectiveness.
